Vikos SA, one of the leading companies in the bottled water and soft drinks sector, manages an extensive network of clients and suppliers. Continuously growing, the company sought a modern and flexible way to organize its supply chain to ensure better oversight, faster communication, and real-time information.

Wapp designed and developed from scratch a next-generation web application as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for supply chain management, allowing wholesalers and large stores to place orders directly with the factory.

The need

Vikos SA, one of the largest Greek companies in the bottled mineral water and soft drinks sector, manages a vast daily network of clients and suppliers. The company's continuous growth created the need for a flexible, modern, and reliable tool to support the smooth operation of its supply chain.

The goal was clear: improve communication, better control of orders, and real-time information. We were asked to build software capable of:

connecting the production line, major clients, and suppliers on a single platform,
enabling easy order entry and tracking,
providing automatic updates and notifications to every user,
delivering useful analytics to Vikos for better decision-making.

Real-time order tracking

Wapp took on the design and development of a next-generation web application as a Progressive Web App (PWA), offering the usability of a native app without the need for installation from the App Store or Google Play. Through the new application we developed, Vikos AE improved its communication with suppliers and major clients, simplified the tracking and execution of orders from the production line to the final point, and provided management with critical statistics and real-time data.

The key tools of the application we developed include:

Role-based access: Vikos has full oversight of all operations, major clients can view their order history and create new orders, while suppliers can only track orders relevant to them and update their progress.

Data management: Ability to add, edit, and delete customers, suppliers, and products, as well as link specific suppliers to specific clients.

Smart order system: The app adapts to each client's habits, displaying frequently ordered products first. It also supports adding special offers and gifts based on order value or quantity.

Automated notifications: Built-in notifications, emails, and SMS updates inform users at every stage: from creating a new order to its execution and delivery.

Order tracking: Each user can see their relevant orders in real-time, along with their current status (“New”, “In Progress”, “Delivered”).

Analytics system: Vikos AE now has access to detailed data on top products by category, client, and supplier, top customers and suppliers by order volume, and overall insights that support strategic planning.

User-friendly mobile experience

The application is designed with a mobile-first approach, ensuring flawless performance on smartphones and tablets. All functions operate in real time, with instant updates and notifications, providing users with the same experience whether they are at the office or on the go.
