In the heart of Epirus, where history meets nature and tradition harmonizes with modern life, lies the Municipality of Zitsa. A place with a rich heritage, which since 2011 has merged with five historic municipalities: Ekali, Evrimenoi, Zitsa, Molossoi, and Passaronas.

Wapp team took on the task of creating the digital presence for this unique location. We redesigned and redeveloped the official website of the Municipality of Zitsa, aiming to serve as a communication bridge between the Municipality, its citizens, and its visitors.

A website for citizens & travelers

The challenge was clear: to transform the large volume of information into a clean, pleasant, and user-friendly navigation experience for both citizens and visitors of the area. To achieve this, we created a homepage divided into six major thematic sections – from news and municipal services to tourism, attractions, and events. With specially designed icons and a side menu that guides the user throughout their navigation, every piece of information becomes easily accessible.

To highlight the vibrancy and character of the region, we used photographs and designed graphics that give visitors the sense of a digital journey. We applied color palettes and aesthetic choices that match the style and character of the location, ensuring the digital space reflects the tradition, history, and natural beauty of the wider Municipality area. This way, whether someone is a citizen looking for a service or a traveler wanting to discover the attractions, beauty, and history of the place, they find everything they need in a friendly and functional environment.

Wapp’s goal for the new website of the Municipality of Zitsa was to build a digital tool for information and experience, rich in content, that connects people, place, and culture.

Designed for mobile

We placed special emphasis on the responsive design of the Municipality of Zitsa’s website. Whether users visit the site from a computer, tablet, or smartphone, the experience remains smooth, clear, and user-friendly. The content automatically adjusts to the dimensions of each screen, maintaining the visual identity and functionality throughout the site. This way, citizens and visitors can access the information they need from anywhere, without limitations.

Citizens

The new website of the Municipality of Zitsa was created with the primary goal of providing citizens with immediate access to all the information they need. In a friendly and user-friendly environment, residents can find consolidated information about municipal services, know which documents are required for each procedure, and receive updates directly through the Press Releases and official announcements of the Municipality.

At the same time, they have the opportunity to learn about the Structure of the Municipality and communicate directly with the relevant departments via dedicated contact forms, designed so that each request reaches the appropriate employee quickly and efficiently.

In this way, the website functions not only as an information tool but as a digital service gateway, bringing the Municipality closer to its citizens.

The website of the Municipality of Zitsa is designed not only for citizens but also for every visitor who wants to explore the area. With the help of interactive maps that highlight the region’s attractions, visitors can discover everything from archaeological sites and museums to churches, monasteries, and the unique natural landscapes.

At the same time, they are informed about cultural events and festivities that bring the local community to life, while also having access to useful information regarding transportation and mobility.

Through an innovative tool we developed, the website offers automatic display of nearby businesses, attractions, and settlements based on their relative locations. This makes every trip to Zitsa easier, more immediate, and more exciting.
