Overview
Up Living is a company based in Athens which deals with renovation of hotels located in prime locations in the Greek islands and undertakes their promotion giving consultancy services and upgrading their infrastructure.
The company's portofolio at present includes hotels in Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes, while its immediate plans is the addition of new hotels in the area of the Aegean and Ionian seas.
We developed a web application through which visitors can get to know all of the company's hotels. The information that is available to visitors is the number and type of rooms, the facilities and services of the hotel, as well as plenty of photographs and videos. Moreover they can make use of a special application developed, to make a room reservation at specific dates.
We have also designed and integrated into the wesite a complete tourist guide for each destination with available hotels. Here visitors can learn about attractions, activities, beaches, dining and entertainment suggestions, ways of access, useful phones and general information which interest anyone who plans to visit the respective tourist destination.
During the design of the website, we gave particular emphasis to the inspiration and uniqueness, starting from scratch without using ready drafts (templates). The development of the website was based on responsive web design technologies, so that the website can adapt on different screen sizes of mobile phones, tablets, notebook and desktop computers. This way all website visitors have the same user experience, regardless of how they access it.
Also, the website includes a blog, which informs visitors about news and information regarding the hotels and the islands. Each article includes photographs, videos and interactive maps from Google Maps.
For the development of the web application we used wapp's content management system through which the administrator of the website, has access to all its components (texts, photographs, videos, links, maps, etc.) and can easily edit, delete them or add new ones.
Particular care has been taken in relation to on site SEO, so that via the content management system, every single page automatically sends all necessary information that search engines need and is designed in such a way to cover all web standards set across the Internet.
