The VIKOS ΦALCONS basketball team is a dynamic presence in Greek sports, competing in the top-tier Stoiximan GBL championship.

Wapp undertook the design and development of the club's official website, aiming to digitally highlight the team's identity and provide direct, daily updates to its fans.

What we implemented:

• Game Action & Statistics: We developed specialized, dynamic sections for the detailed presentation of the schedule, results, and current standings, keeping the audience consistently informed.

• Upcoming Game Display: We implemented a custom tool to showcase the upcoming game, informing the audience about the date and location of the match.

• Genius Sports API Integration: We developed custom code for the direct integration of the website with the Genius Sports API. Through this implementation, we fetch real-time data regarding the schedule, results, standings, and game statistics of the team.

• News & Updates: We created a dynamic section for the immediate publication of announcements, interviews, and analyses, keeping fans constantly updated on every development.

• Media & Highlights (YouTube): We implemented a specialized section that automatically fetches game highlights and videos directly from the team's YouTube channel, ensuring their immediate display on the website.

• Roster Presentation: A dedicated page was designed for the VIKOS ΦALCONS roster, featuring a detailed profile of the players and the team's coaching staff.

• History & Contact: Rich content was created to highlight the history and philosophy of the club, accompanied by all necessary contact details and social media links.

• Responsive Design: The implementation was based on modern Responsive Web Design techniques, ensuring a premium browsing experience across any device (smartphones, tablets, desktops).

• Dynamic Content Management (CMS) & SEO: The site was integrated into the wapp.gr content management system, allowing administrators to easily and instantly update the website's content. Simultaneously, SEO techniques were applied for optimal visibility on search engines.
